A Message from our Head of School
Coastal Christian Preparatory School was founded as a ministry of First Baptist Church in 1953, and for over 70 years, our school has faithfully served families in Mount Pleasant and its surrounding communities. I am incredibly thankful for the legacy established so many years ago and for the exciting, trusted ministry and programming that continues on our campus on a daily basis.
Our dedicated team takes our CCPS mission to heart as we commit to “assist parents in raising children to their God-given potential emotionally, spiritually, academically, and physically for a lifetime of Kingdom-building service.” We highly value providing a Christian environment where students learn to love God and others, and where they also learn to make wise life choices. We also value producing confident, secure students who celebrate their unique qualities and boldly pursue their dreams. We value preparing students academically through challenging courses, small classes, and individualized instruction. We also strive to provide opportunities for our students to excel outside the classroom. From a physical perspective, we value developing students with strength, endurance, and character through engaging physical education classes and supportive athletic opportunities.
Not only am I abundantly thankful for the wonderful students and families that invest in the CCPS experience, but as a leader, I am humbled daily by the amazing Faculty and Staff members that have been drawn to serve on our campus. They are fully committed to our students, and they serve with a gracious spirit of faith, joy, and professionalism each and every day. It is an incredible blessing to serve alongside them each day.
Throughout this school year, our campus will celebrate the message declared in our 2025-2026 focus verse, I Chronicles 16:8-11 – “Oh give thanks to the Lord; call upon his name; make known his deeds among the peoples! Sing to him, sing praises to him; tell of all his wondrous works! Glory in his holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the Lord rejoice! Seek the Lord and his strength; seek his presence continually!” Indeed, we are overflowing with gratitude for what the Lord is doing in the lives of our students, we fully trust in the Lord’s steadfast faithfulness, and it is our privilege to serve all stakeholders associated with our wonderful school!
With gratitude,
Tammy Wiksell
