LOWER ELEMENTARY
Kindergarten - 2nd Grade
Our goal in the early elementary grades is to equip our students with the skills necessary to
be successful lifelong learners.
Students take great pride and pleasure in learning to read during these important years. A systematic phonics-based approach plays an important role in equipping students with the tools they need to become successful readers.
In addition to reading, students learn proper handwriting techniques along with fundamental mathematical concepts. Science and social studies education are integrated into the curriculum through thematic units.
The CCPS Lower Elementary School Program is proud to offer:
• Small Class Sizes
• Nurturing and Structured Environment
• Individualized Instruction
• Options for After School Extended Care
• Weekly Chapel and Bible Classes
• Engaging Field Trips
• Creative Special Area Classes
• Intentional and Purposeful Use of Technology
• Weekly Communication and Updates

UPPER ELEMENTARY
3rd Grade - 5th Grade
As students enter the upper elementary grades, our goal is to equip them to develop critical thinking skills, concept analysis, and synthesis of knowledge.
These skills are encouraged through cross-curricular activities, core subjects, proper use of technology, music, art, and physical education, all of which are developed within a Christian worldview with emphasis on biblical application.
Our teachers work collaboratively to help students develop appropriate study habits and practices that will ensure their future success. The small class size allows teachers to individualize instruction and provide individualized enrichment as needed.
